A Passion for Education
Hello! My name is Ms. Jackie, and I am a Louisiana Certified Elementary School Teacher with a Master’s degree and a lifelong passion for education. Before entering the classroom, I dedicated over 16 years to the social services field, where I supported children and families and gained a deep understanding of the social, emotional, and academic needs of young people.
Nurturing. Structured. Empowering.
Teaching is more than a profession for me—it is a calling. I truly love to teach, guide, and mentor students, helping them build confidence, develop strong academic skills, and reach their full potential. I believe every child can learn when given the right support, encouragement, and high-quality instruction.
My Unique Approach
My approach to reading and writing is unique and effective because it is student-centered, intentional, and grounded in both experience and research. I understand that children learn best when instruction meets them where they are, so I carefully assess each student’s needs and build lessons that are structured, engaging, and developmentally appropriate. With over 16 years of experience in social services and a strong background in elementary education, I take a whole-child approach, recognizing that confidence, motivation, and emotional well-being play a critical role in literacy development.
